Virtual Teaching and Research Communities

TB11 - Scientific programme scheduled for December 12

From 09:00 to 10:30 at the "Salle E"

Summary

Form of socialisation specific to web 2.0: there is a vast array of virtual communities in the university sector.
Whether learning or research, these communities weave social networks that promote collaborative work and collective intelligence.
They often reveal themselves to be an effective vector for integrating new students and young researchers into the life of their institution, but, in addition to this, they can also be a professional propagation vector and a tool for setting up collaborative partnerships between equals.
From digital university identity (net-etiquette) to cyber-reputation, this round table will deal with socialising practices and the evaluation of collaborative work within the virtual communities of students and researchers, and the potential for enhancing the individual and institutional identities and reputations that they authorise.
The questions linked to the governance of the institutions that emerge from this phenomenon can be seen on the internet. They include questions, such as, can (or must) “the ethical governance of the internet” within Universities take into account the rise of virtual communities and the impact of social networks?
This strategic opening will be discussed at this round table.
