Development and Cooperative Use of Software
TB11bis - Scientific programme scheduled for December 12
From 11:00 to 12:30 at the "Salle E"
Summary
Free software represents an alternative to purchasing computer applications in all higher education institution management sectors, such as accounting, finance, human resources, education, documentation and communication. They also have a significant presence in the pedagogic sector in terms of teaching platforms, content management systems, digital service portals or collaborative tools.
The round table will discuss the benefits of using free software in terms of providing pedagogic services and helping the administrative and technical management of universities or the “grandes ecoles*”.
The question of their externalised or cooperative method of development, their distribution and maintenance and the question of the risks to the global information system in terms of their heterogeneity will be tackled.
*grandes ecoles: prestige university-level college with competitive entrance examinations
